More birthdays!

We are a little bit late with getting these posted but better late than never!

Congratulations to Mrs Watson on reaching the big 1-0-0 on the 12th October.  In the first decade that Braceborough Hall Retirement Home was open I don’t remember us having any centegenerians (Matron may correct me on this).  How times change – we currently have 3 lovely ladies residing with us who are 100 or older!

Happy Birthday Mrs Brown

We have been celebrating again this week, it was Mrs Brown’s birthday on Wednesday.

Happy Birthday Mrs Brown

She had a lovely day celebrating with her family both at Braceborough Hall and on a trip out.  And the day was topped off at the social evening when the performers from Partytime Productions finished their show by singing Happy Birthday to her and getting all of the audience to join in.

Mrs Brown later told Matron that she had enjoyed a wonderful day, adding “I haven’t had a birthday like this since I was eight!”

Belated happy birthday wishes

We would like to wish Mrs Clarke a belated happy birthday for yesterday.

She had a lovely time celebrating with her family at the weekend and unless my eyes deceive me I do believe that by spreading her celebrations out across several days, she managed to get not one but two cakes!  Well done Mrs Clarke!

105 years old – really?!?

We are pleased to report that Mrs Fox-Browne had a lovely day celebrating her 105th birthday and are happy to share some photos from the big day with you.  We don’t know about you but we think she is one of the youngest looking, most beautiful 105 year olds we have ever seen!

Would you believe the combined age of the people in this photograph is over 340 years?  What a youthful looking bunch!

Happy Birthday Vera

Today we say Happy Birthday to the oldest resident at Braceborough Hall, Vera Fox-Browne who is 105 years young.

We are looking forward to our postie bringing Vera her 2nd telegram from the Queen – for those of you who aren’t aware, you now get your first telegram at 100 and then have to wait till you are 105 for your next one.

We all wish Vera a very Happy Birthday and hope she has a lovely day.

Elizabeth is 101!

Many happy returns to Elizabeth, one of our most long standing residents, on her 101st birthday.

Elizabeth is celebrating with her family this afternoon and we all wish her a lovely day.
