There is a full programme of activities and entertainment (both in-house and outings), arranged seasonally through the year. Amongst others these include:
– Victorian Christmas party with pantomime
– Musical afternoons
– Summer garden fete
– Games afternoons with dominoes, cards and quizzes
– Chair aerobics
– Speakers and slideshows
Residents are also encouraged to continue participating in their hobbies and interests.
Visitors are also welcome at all times. One regular visitor is Matron’s dog, Fred, who Mr Capper likes to take for walks (and feed biscuits but don’t tell Matron!)
Every year the residents choose a charity to benefit from fundraising activities throughout the year. Over £40,000 has been raised for charities including RNLI, Great Ormond Street, Market Deeping Health Centre, Guide Dogs for the Blind and Peterborough Hospital’s Children’s Ward to name just a few.
